Are We There Yet?

So these past few days have been very interesting....  remember how I said we were out of the desert?  Well I'm young and reckless and most of the time.... I'm wrong.  Turns out that after you pass the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.  There's more desert.  And that's exactly where we are.  We are in La Junta
(La- Hoon- Tah)  or as the French say it (Lay-Hun-Tae).  We will be crossing into Kansas tomorrow!  But today we rode 121 miles and went  over La Veta Pass with a nasty crosswind all day.  Doesn't that sound fun? Didn't think so!  Oh and we also went over Wolf Creek Pass 2 days ago!  We climbed up to 10,000 ft!  It was crazy!  Waaaaa!  Oh and Tanner wants a shout out too....  So if there are any single ladies reading this... give him a call.  He's super handsome and he has a wonderful personality.  Well here are some pics from these past few days!

This morning on top of the pass

Also this morning while we were riding!  America is decently beautiful I guess....
This was a ski resort on top of Wolf Creek Pass!
This is my...eager face.
Grandpa loves my new mohawk....  Why doesn't my mom????
As handsome as Lyman boys can get  in Central Logic blue.
Huntsman Cancer!!! Woo Hoo!

  1. Is it just me, or does it look like you and Matthew did a quick change from Central Logic Blue to Huntsman Cancer blue in the twinkling of an eye? Same exact location, same exact eager faces? (Less eager for Matthew.)

What do you think about while riding 120 miles anyway? I've always wanted to know what goes through bikers brains. Do tell. Does it ever feel like you're on the verge of insanity?

I quite liked this post, btw. And the mohawk ain't THAT bad either. ;)

  2. Ha yeah! Same place! My parents wanted pics of us in those different jerseys. Hmmm what goes in our minds..... Umm. Most of the time you just focus on the guy in front of yours back wheel. You can't be too close to it but you cant be too far away. But I almost fell asleep yestermorning while we were riding!
